Days were devoured by night, and this night had been a rather peculiar one. It had been over 100 years since Ethvae ventured back to her homeland; her kingdom. But the weakness in her soul was enough warning to bring the fey back, for her eyes would need to see it once more, as though a silent last wish. The civilians in the area had gawked at Ethvae’s presence. Perhaps the frightened expressions were more so from what she had in tow with her: an exiled light fey. She had taken the empty stairway to the upper tea house, leading the other fey behind her.
She was not an unwelcome creature here, but as she walked further into the tea house, her eyes had taken in the many fey she had recognized, and the ones she did not. Despite the opportunity to be able to greet the fey around her, she did not. Instead, she insisted on taking a seat closer to the walls. The only light in the area was from a lamp-like structure, holding a few fireflies within its grasp. An emerald sort of glow made the room appear dizzy.
The chairs were smaller, allowing little back support, but there was a comfort. Ethvae sat still, her eyes shifting to look up at J’kar. Their journey had not been long from the first time they had met. While there was often little words exchanged (mostly because Ethvae often forgot she wasn’t alone), she had been polite enough to acknowledge him now. She raised her right hand now, pointing to the empty seat across from her.
“Have you been here before?” she wondered. For light was not a stranger to earth.

Oh, the sensations of being in a crowed again after being alone for so long. Even when being in the company of another was trying, to be in a group was almost overwhelming. But a new sense was emerging. A sense of constance, of security, in this environment when with Ethvae. For her presence did not add to the crowed but subdued it to a degree. But there was hope in this for he now knew that he could learn to tolerate crowds once again; though this would not be easy or lightly taken.
Taking his seat J'Kar told his story. "Only once and as a child. My parents were here visiting with some fey from the council of earth. It would have been wise of them to have found a place for me to stay instead of leaving me to the entertainment of the firefly globe. Was quite entertaining when the globe broke against the floor and the fireflies dispersed throughout the room but became troublesome when they took their exit." To feel the nervousness at that time would be a relief than what he was feeling now. Time alone has done its damage.
Trying to control the nervousness J'Kar shifted his eyes back and forth from Ethvae and the table, trying put the thought of the others in the room out of his mind. "When was the last time you visited here?"
