The Wastelands

The air is lifeless in the scar of land that is known as the Wastelands. The war that ravaged the earth here has killed every living thing within miles and miles, even zapping the magic from the very soil, turning it into stone; even uplifting the earth to be in a perpetual slant. Old colossus statues, half buried castles and even skeletons of the two-mile tall Wall remain, forever pointing crookedly at the heavens. Due to the nature of the Fissure of Woe, time moves slowly here and always, there seems to be a cloudless sky, leaving stark shadows to stretch across the ugly stone with an ominous poetry.
