Character Name: Ashton Fawkes
Age: Approximately 230, give or take.
Identified Court: Solitary (No court would have him)
Fey Blood: An awful hodgepodge of things. Give or take, however, he is approximately one quarter of Dark, Fire, Wind, and Light, being born of two halfblood parents (his father being Dark/Fire, his mother being Wind/Light).
Appearance: Ashton, to put it simply, has a wild look about him, more often than not dirty and bruised. His blood red hair is worn short in the front, long in the back, and though tied back it looks like he never really brushes it and washes it much less often than he should, though once it was soft and smooth looking, it now appears to be a bit... fried, for lack of a better word.

His eyes were once a brilliant shade of green (an odd thing considering neither of his parents had green eyes), but the color is now somewhat faded, and his left eye, scarred in battle, is a blind white, the scar that caused it jaggedly cutting through his eyebrow and down to the top of his cheek.

He is rather pale in complexion, standing at approximately 5'7" with a thin build and little muscular definition. Almost all of him is usually covered, with only his hands and face typically visible when it comes to skin. His choice of clothing is dark, often looking old and torn and fitting too loosely on his frame and usually accompanied by a hooded cloak.

His wings were never anything spectacular, a hawk's wings, dull in color, but now they are tattered and missing large chunks of feathers, an overall very ragged and shameful looking image.

Powers: Ashton's power is one of illusions, or more aptly described, hallucinations. At first, he had a good grasp on it, able to focus a hallucination on a particular Fey and control its duration and intensity quite well, but after he started trying to branch out with it, to affect a larger group of Fey at one time, it started to get out of his control.

Now, a damaged thing, he often backlashes these hallucinations onto himself with absolutely no control over them, and even when he isn't trying to use his power, it will often leak out. Anyone who sustains prolonged contact with him will usually suffer the effects of it in increasing degrees, but there are times when even without prolonged contact anyone around him will be put through what can only be described as A REALLY BAD TRIP.

These hallucinations can be just about anything, though are always related in some way to the subject's own psyche. It is very rare that Ashton will project one of his own hallucinations on someone, and depending on the Fey it ends up on, it can be a lot more traumatizing than what they would have seen had it been one of their own hallucinations. Due to Ashton's nature, however, it is also rare that any hallucinations suffered are pleasant, though they can range from mild (oh, did your hair just smile at me?) to extreme (BADTRIPBADTRIPOHGOD) and he has very little control over it.

Magical Knowledge: Simply put, he has none.

(( Personality ))

With the defiling of his wings, Ashton actually managed to manifest a bit of a split personality, though put simply, he is pretty much a paranoid schizophrenic. Typically, as himself, he is rather laid back, not quick to fight but not quick to back down once he's gotten into one. He tends to stay away from other Fey for plenty of reasons, a few of the big ones being his power and the fact that he is extremely paranoid most of the time. If he were to get in a fight, however, he prefers to use knives and fists rather than his power, considering he has so little control over it. He has had a few suicidal tendencies, but has never gone through with them (though on occasion he has torn feathers from his own wings, part of the reason they've gotten into the state they're in).

His other personality (calling himself Deceit), is much more open to other Fey, though in most ways, that's not a positive thing. He likes to start fights, likes to hurt people. His speech patterns are just different enough that it's noticeable. He's the deal maker, the planner and the instigator of the two, with enough cunning and backstabbing to be related to a feline and the rat it chases all in one. He loves to play with his power, to fuck with people, and to torture them.

In either case, however, their language reflects living alone as an outcast, and is far from the niceties of the court, and in either personality, there is always the fact that he is pretty crazy.

(( History ))

Ashton was born a bastard child to a half Wind, half Light Fey mother living on the outskirts of the Wind Kingdom. His upbringing was standard, and he showed absolutely no aptitude for magic or power for that matter until sometime into his adolescence.

When his power first started to manifest, he accidentally used it on his mother, who, despaired by the image of her son standing over the mangled body of her lover, tried to kill him, and he ran, never looking back. Over time he learned to better control the power, but it was when he started to get overzealous with it that it backfired, scrambling him pretty badly and giving his enemy the opportunity to catch him off guard (before he too was swept up in the hallucination). This was when his left eye was blinded, and unfortunately, also when the first chunk was taken out of one of his wings.

It was the turning point of his life, and the point at which he developed a split personality. And it all went downhill from there.

He did not take place in the war.

Since then, he's been living a solitary life, wandering from place to place with no real home (because nobody lets him stay for long, for plenty of reasons, when he wants to stay at all), an outcast of society, getting worse and worse as time goes on. It's really only a matter of time before he slips up and gets himself killed, or kills himself.
