(( General Information ))
Character Name: Ghlorya In'resva (She goes by "Lor")
Age: 73
Identified Court: Light Court
Fey Blood: Light Fey with some Earth and Fire fey in her lineage (though too far back to be really identified).
Appearance: Lor is tall for a woman, just breaking 6'0" and that's without any armor or added height. Her weight varies breaking the 170 range, most of it being muscle and tone. There is literally next to no fat on the girl's body save for her breasts (which are surprisingly well developed considering how well toned she is). Her abdomen, legs, and arms show the evidence that she works out moreso than the average woman.
Her hair is a flaming orangish-red and cut short to her shoulders. When fighting, she makes sure to keep her hair pulled back into a tight bun in order to prevent any stray strands from flying into her face. Her hair is surprisingly very thick, which is one reason she keeps it so short.
Her eyes are a golden yellow-color and generally wide and innocent in nature, unless she's engaged in a fight, then they are serious, her gaze is intense and focussed. Her eyes can either be kind or cruel, depending on if you are enemy or ally.
She bears a scar on her arm, a constant reminder of the day where she nearly screwed it all up and had her head sliced clean off. Never again will she be so careless on the battlefield.
Her wings are long, sharp, and firey gold. They sparkle in the sunlight and seem ghastly pale in the moonlight. She does not leave them uncovered while fighting, preferring to tuck them into her armor so that they will not become damaged.
Inner Court: Knight of the Light Court, Assigned "Guardian" of the Ruler
Despite her age, Lor is a very serious fey when it comes to fighting. She takes pride in her skills, which she has spent her short life (by fey standards) perfecting so that she might be a suitable fey to protect her ruler. She is a dangerous weapon both in the field of battle and in one-on-one combat. She uses her whole body as a weapon, never needing a sword or shield to land a final blow (not to say that the items don't help and make her job easier.)
She is insanely loyal and wishes nothing more than to protect her people, even at the cost of her own life. She will always fight for what and who she believes in, even if everyone else tells her that it's wrong. She will never bow down the the light fey warrior when it comes to protecting the ruler- she believes herself to be more qualified to protect the light fey ruler, though she will admit that when on the battlefield and when it comes to actual war strategies, she may only offer her opinions, she does not have the final say. But she will not listen to the warrior, and is determined to always have the final say when it comes to her specifically assigned job- no one is her boss in that respect.
When she's on the battlefield, all of her pent up rage comes out, but as long as she can protect her loved ones, she's happy-- though her ego would be left unsatisfied should she be unable to be of importance to the Light Fey ruler.

Powers: Lor's power works in a strange way, but it is what gives her such great advantage on the battle field. Although it is still imperfect and she can not yet call upon it reliably time after time, she's learned to tap into her power which allows her to momentarily focus her energy to the point that time all but slows down around her.
The sensation lasts from 5 to 10 seconds in her eyes, but to anyone else it would be not even a second. The true cause is her adreniline level, and when it rises, she gets a sudden surge that causes the power to take place. Within those ten seconds, she's free to move as she pleases. While she moves as what she considers "normal" speed, everyone else slows down around her. It can allow her to deal a crushing blow or to avoid being killed.
However, since her power is imperfect, she cannot rely on it to get her out of sticky situations, and the scar on her arm reminds her of the narrow miss.
Magical Knowledge: Despite not having much a power of her own, Lor was given formal magical training in her early years in the elusive art of wind weaving. Although initially she didn't take it seriously in the beginning, she grew to find the fun in it. It was a very curious element, hard to control and find the balance in, but that's what she enjoys about it. It changes just as easily as her moods. Despite not being a wind fey, she has become very well versed in the elements from knowing how to whisper and get her way into hidden chambers to summoning powerful winds and storms-- her favorite being the effect of the lightening, which is her most common summon while weaving wind. She is also in the process of learning water weaving, though the effects of it are more along the lines of body-healing rather than soul, for the waters she works her magic with can be used to lay a wounded body in and instantly relieve physical pain- though the actual wounds take longer to truly mend.
(( Personality ))
Gosh, how to describe Lor...
Well, first you would have to take into account that for the most part, she's an upbeat, cheery girl with an always-friendly demeanor. Secondly, you would have to combine that with the fact that she also doesn't take shit from anyone and has high prejudices against the dark court for being 'evil.'
Her sense of justice and what she believes is right guides her actions and how she perceives people. From being raised in the light court, she's very much into the mentality of her people. She feels a sense of loyalty and protection to them that goes no deeper than her heritege. Why she cares for them, why she wants to make sure they're safe, she does not truly know the answer to.
But it's deeply embedded within her mentality. Protecting the ruler of the Light Fey is her sole duty and mission, and she would gladly give her life up for her people and master. To her, there would be no greater honor, but of course, she wants to live. She wants to experience friendship and love, she wants to see the downfall of the dark and the rise of the light into a new era.
Aside from fighting, and aside from the bitterness, she is an out-going, trouble making girl. She will follow laws, but when it comes to trivial rules or rules of other fey, she will break them without second thought. Never one for studying, she prefers to goof off and joke around. To other fey that grew up with her as a friend know just how tough she can be and, at time, the fact that she can be a bully to those weaker than her, if only to "toughen them up" or to flirt with a girl she likes. She's still a bit immature in the romance department, and when she falls, she will fall fast.
(( History )) The Fissure of Woe was where it all started, where the light fey known as Ellyson and Artretrell lost their only son in the war against the dark. Crushed and heartbroken, the couple debated for years over having another child and eventually came to the conclusion that they would try again.
This was how Ghlorya came to be born. Ellyson and Artretrell were a bit disappointed to find it was a girl, initially, but Ellyson revealed to his wife that he'd always wanted a baby girl, and soon the child was welcomed with open arms. Growing up, it was important that she be able to fulfill her brother's footsteps. She was put into the same magical tutoring education he'd been given and from a young age taught how to properly fight.
Her parents were disappointed to find that she did not take her studies nearly as seriously as her brother, and more often than not caught her hiding from her tutors or skipping out to fight and play with her friends. However, they chose to nuture this innate ability within their daughter and eventually let her skip the magic lessons to focus more on combat.
On the battlefield, Lor was alive. All of her pain, anger, and resentments towards the dark for taking away her brother were allowed to be shown. She was allowed to be vengeful and angry without being put down for it. She was taught only by the best, and as her skill level rose, so did her reputation. She went through training masters until there was no one left to teach her that which she did not already know. The man which stood as her equal challenged her to a dual, and it was there that she received her scar when she chose to rely on her power rather than her skill.
Although she ultimately won the fight, it wasn't at the cost of her pride. never again, she swore, would she let herself be taken offguard in a way such as that. If she was to defend her kingdom, to fight for the light in the darkness, then she had to be the best of the best. It would be best, or nothing at all.
