(( General Information ))
Character Name: Jacinth Ev Howl, previously Terciel Olivier, previously Sayd Febenz, previously Lyrael Null… a few more names but originally Xue Xiu. Age: 611 years. Identified Court: Currently disguised as a Light Fey, though his true home is the Fire Kingdom. Fey Blood: Full blooded fire. Appearance: Originally, Xue Xiu was a man with very effeminate features, long curtains of ivory hair and dark, wise eyes. It seems that Xue has always favored his original features, always choosing pretty faces and usually lanky-willowy typed bodies. His current image is of a Light Fey named Jacinth, a 5’11” lanky type body with smooth features, no apparent mars on the skin and a face that holds air of someone with resolve. The original fey had blue eyes, but due to Xue unable to make a full transformation of the face, they come across darker, and almost black. His hair is chopped short and looks almost windblown and his face hairless (a change since the last image that Xue stole). Jacinth’s image was stolen roughly a hundred years ago, so thus any idea of what he may have been before is pretty much lost to his acquaintances who know him now to stand rather tall, perhaps a little paranoid, and eyes seem much more observant.
Originally, Xue’s wings were long and skinny, pointed at the end with swirls of black veins that divided the strange translucent flesh, like an insect’s. The wings were hardly noticeable, until held up against the light in which the light would cast a shattered rainbow. An accident when he was younger caused one of his wings to tear in half. Due to years of wear, the other one has gained many holes with each transformation. In some weird way, this represents Xue’s duel personalities, and how, slowly, they are tearing him apart.
Jacinth’s wings do not appear unless summoned, four marks appear on his back where the wings come through, and always there are slits in his clothing to accommodate this. Since Xue can only glide and not fly with his own wings, he can only do the same with Jacinth’s. His wings resemble a Cicada Bug’s. Here. Inner Court: N/A Level: Level 2 Powers: The ability to neutralize powers. This varies. Any kind of power that has to do with him personally, such as telling his future, or invading his mind, is something that just does not seem possible. Anything, physical, such as throwing fire balls, or earth quakes, is completely possible, though it is to be noted that if he touches you, it will nullify the person’s ability for a short while (from 30 seconds to-5 minutes at the most, 5 minutes only effecting low leveled fey). He is not invincible by any means, and makes him more of a target with physical violence in battle. His parents had hoped by combining their blood line, he would be capable of powerful abilities that would greatly contribute to the Fire Kingdom. It seems, instead, he is very good at holding back such powers, and the blood instead neutralized all possibilities of himself having any.
Xue chooses people with very low leveled abilities, Jacinth seeming to have had none at all. It only appeared that way because Jacinth did not tell anyone, save one other soul, that he had this ability and never used it. It was a power of death, able to kill any living thing even a fey of Death. He was able to do this with the simple ill intention. While Jacinth wasn’t exactly the kindest of all light fey, it did make him have an appreciate of life, and never ever wish death upon anyone, even the person that murdered him in the end. Magical Knowledge: Due to Xue’s inability to have powers, he instead focused on weaving. He was quite the sword enthusiast, and while he never took on the actual art of Fire Weaving and the making of weapons, he picked up some skill in maintaining and taking care of swords. This ability faded as he grew older and forgot, however.
Many years and dedicated practice made Xue a master of Dark Weaving. This being a skill that affects the mind, and is able to warp perception, making Xue able to change his appearance, the sound of his voice, and even the feel of his skin. It is powerful enough for Xue to even see himself this way. It isn’t just an appearance thing, however, and isn’t only susceptible to sight. If one were to touch Jacinth’s hair, it would feel as it appears, not as Xue’s original hair felt.
(( Personality ))
Jacinth is a man of discipline, of honor, and a rather strong sense of right and wrong. He is also not very forgiving of the stupid or the weak, but he will not say it overtly, but rather off-handishly or sometimes sarcastically. He does not forgive blind devotion, however, and this does not make him liked much among the Light Fey, despite his patriotism to his Kingdom, or so he says. Jacinth's only Light-like personality trait is his wish for peace, only wanting the FoW to be repaired, he has considered the idea of training in Light or Earth weaving, if only to help the cause.
(( History )) The parents of Xue were proud like all parents of the Fire Kingdom, having an arranged marriage, the two methusalahs had hoped with their combined abilities, they would create a child worthy of much honor to their name. This did not seem so. Xue, being born to the world, was not a high leveled fey, and in the beginning it was thought that he had no powers whatsoever. He even seemed to zap the abilities from his mother when he was born. Considered an abomination, he was given away after care for only five years.
He was adopted into the Xui family. A group of fire weavers that lived inside the volcano of the island. They were just as proud as any family, though did not see their honor in blood lines, but in in the strength of character. Xui grew up with a strong sense of discipline, taught to fire weave just as his adopted father taught him, he learned to forge a new life, withhold Fire Kingdom loyalty and eventually grew to be a very ambitious individual. He was a model of the teachings of the Xui family, the second eldest, he had a talent for picking up skills quickly, and mimicking others in order to learn. He became a sword enthusiast, and naturally good with the blade. He took up weaving lessons, and it was in this that he learned that he did, in fact, have an ability.
When asked to have a sword duel after class by a jealous classmate, he accepted, ready to prove his skill. It was in this fight that the other fire fey had cheated and use his powers against Xue, an ability to shoot lightning. It was lucky of Xue that he realized this soon enough not to be killed, and during the fight, he had managed to knock the sword that centered the electrical energy out of the kid's hands. Skin had touched skin, and momentarily, his opponent was ridden powerless. Xue had somehow come out the victor and learned that he had the ability to take away the use of people's powers, even if it was just a little. Xue told nobody of this.
Fast forward a few years and the patriotic Xue Xui had decided to become a master of the art of weaving, though decided not to go down the Fire Weavers path. He, instead, chose Dark Weaving, finding the intrigue of manipulating the mind too enticing to pass up. Combined with the power to make his own mind impenetrable to powers, he thought the balance would be perfect, little did he know that Dark Weaving could take its toll on anyone if it was used long enough.
He left home on search of ways to round out his abilities, beginning with such things as puppeteering, of coursing people to bend to his will, and eventually, he chose the path of the illusionist and a shapeshifter. Xue became greedy and decided to take on face stealing, killing people of low ranking in society, he became them in order to gain secrets of many Kingdoms. For a time, he was in the Light and Water Kingdoms, learning of the mermaids and the cult-like setting of the Light. Traveling over many centuries, Xue had learned the atrocities of the other Kingdoms and grew pessimistic.
So many years had passed, even Xue had forgotten the volcanic rock of the Fire Kingdom. He was no longer himself, it seemed, hating the many Kingdoms he traveled, he grew detached from other fey, his only love for many years was the art of killing and stealing and in time Xue eventually forgot his own name.
It was when a tracker from the Fire Kingdom had come across Xue in his form as a solitary fey, asking if he was Xue Xui of the Xui family. Even Xue himself could not answer this question, but decided to follow the messenger none the less, it was there he was reminded of his past, reminded of who he was, and that he was the last descendant of the Xui family. Unable to make swords, Xue had lost their legacy, he felt a strong sense of regret and compassion for his country. He decided to do them an honor, and instead of running away like he did so many years before, he served the Fire Kingdom. It was one day he was asked by the Ruler of Fire himself to take down the wall, asked if he could bring glory to the Fire Kingdom by outsmarting the Light Council's defenses, it was then that Xue ventured into the human Kingdom.
The name he took on was Terciel. The planning took many years, having to make his own appearance grow old, he had to even pretend to have children, and create a new face for himself, a Terciel Jr and so on. It was in the Dawth's Kingdom that Terciel learned of a civilization he thought truly worthy of living. It was here he fell in love for the first time, a woman named Jasmine, a woman that thought him to be human, and together, they had a child. Despite all this, despite his feelings, the child looked nothing like the father, nor the mother, as it was born half fey, it was heralded an abomination even by Jasmine. Terciel could not stand such atrocities done to his newly born daughter and fought back against the humans. It was here he found his resolve again to destroy the wall, his wife now realizing who he was - she called him a heretic, an incubi, and he was taken to prison to be stoned to death by iron. His daughter had, in the mean time, been thrown down a well.
Terciel/Xue had found his resolve then to bring down the wall, he decided to take on the face of the King, weaving the King's body to look like his own, he arranged the execution of the incubus with fervor. It was here he planned to bring down the wall.
It took 4 more years before it happened, but eventually the humans thought the wall useless, King Dawth saying the only way to beat the fey was to negotiate, which they would not do unless the wall was destroyed. This led to the downfall of the humans, and Xue had accomplished his mission.
Fast forward, and Xue, once thought Terciel, once thought King Dawth was now regretful. Causing the genocide of the entire human race, he went into hiding, wandering again like he did years before, it seemed to be in a kind of mourning. Forgetting who he was, Xue has chosen to forget about the man named Terciel, or a Fire Fey named Xue. In the years of recent, he has taken the face of Jacinth, a light fey that studied lore and was interested in negotiation.
Xue, even if he tried, could not remember much of his name, no longer knowing of anyone in his childhood, with a new ruler and a new Fire Kingdom, it is unsure whether he will ever return.
