(( General Information ))
Character Name: Sairuiniti Hauninchi Goseiro-- but he has shortened it all to be: Sai Haun Go.
Age: 538
Identified Court: Fire Court
Fey Blood: Fire Fey, Pure
Appearance: At 5'3", Sai does not stand very tall. His weight of 105lbs (approximately) supports his lithe, small stature. He is very much a fey creature in every sense of the word: dainty, mystical, ethereal even. He has little to no muscle mass- though he is more toned and stronger than his appearance would lead one to believe- and he seems content in being the very effeminite creature that he is.
His long, black hair extends well past his shoulders and spills down his back in a long, straight line. His hair never curls, never develops a bounce or waviness. It is thin and silk-like in texture, very soft and easy to run one's fingers through. He loves to put special decorations in it, chopsticks and long decors of reds, oranges, golds, and pinks.
His eyes are a startling gold in color and glint red in the flames. His eyelashes are naturally black and long- he needs nothing to add to their intensity. They are generally cold and cutting, only warmth being shown when he is with his old friends.
Most of his outfits are long, ceremonial robes, always in pinks, reds, whites, oranges, and yellows- They give an airy feel to them Example Here. His wingspan is quite large and may take up an entire room, so long as the room itself is not incredible wide or long. The way the texture of his wings mold together- it is as if they are truly made of fire. They seem to always be moving, burning even, but it is only the way the light hits his wings as he moves.
When they are folded, it is hard to see this phenomenon. And he likes to keep them close to himself, for they are an extension of his soul-- as are his ears. Long and pointed, an extreminity to the term "elven" his ears are not like most fey's. However, it is a blessing-- he believes it to be a positive thing, as most fey do when it comes to manifestations of the soul. He has been told that he was blessed with them to better listen to people's heart's desires.
His ears are pierced all of the way up both sides, and a chain link of golden chain and red jewels weaves in and out of the holes- meant to symbolize his allegience to his court. He consistantly adorns his whole body with similar jewelry from long necklaces to braceless to circles for his head-- he is also fond of anklets. His footwear of choice would be barefoot or sandals, nothing too heavy for the airy fire fey.
Inner Court: Untouchable of the Fire Fey- Sai only came into the position after Lang and Vaet overthrew the previous ruler. Agreeing to help his friends' cause, he took up the position of the Untouchable Fire Fey within the court, hoping to help rebuild what had been broken through any means he could.
Level: Level 4
Powers: "I can send you back, allow you to repeat an event in hopes of a different outcome, so long as the outcome's probability isn't zero."
Sai holds within himself a terrible power, the ability to reset events back to gamestart and allow the one he sent back to repeat the event in hopes of a different outcome. As long as the outcome's probability is not zero, the person will be able to change the event should they choose a different course of actions.
This is not to be confused with time-travel, as no one visits the past. The events, time, place- everything is truly reset for the individual, and they are allowed to try once more to make right what was once wrong. Through his power, he can help alter some scenarios to provide the seeker's hopeful outcome.
Again, not to be confused with time travel, the person sent back will have no recollection of their talk with Sai unless they fail to complete what they hoped to. This is where his power takes its toll. For every time an action fails, the person is doomed to repeatedly come to Sai and ask for his help. If he decides to continue to help their quest, the event will be reset, and they will be free to try again. Strangely, because it's not time travel, he will remember each face that comes to him, and he will see who has failed. Those who succeed will never approach him for his services again, content with their outcome and thus having no reason to approach him.
Things can always go wrong, however. If the probability is truly zero, and Sai sends them back knowing this, then they can be caught in an endless time continuem, doomed to repeat the failed events for all of eternity- over and over again, with no recollection that they are simply waking up to relieve the same course of events over again.
Death is a tricky area, one that he has not dared to explore. To save someone from death would mean to cheat a death fey, and that is something that Sai dares not cross- he has heard too many great consequences for those who have tried to ressurect the dead with their powers.
For himself, the reprocussions are taxing. He is often left feeling tired and listless after resetting the events, and prefers to be left alone to rest. His is still frail, though not sickly, from his powers, for he has control over them- he has never subconciously reset a course of events and all of the people involved.
Note: he resets events, he does NOT send people back in time. I know this was said before, it should be clear that when the event is reset, everyone will return to their previous states, and no memories of his power will exist. He does not have to be approached to request a set of events. Should he dare send himself back (which is dangerous, he hasn't tried) he would retain full knowledge of what he had done and play more as a game-piece inside the scene in which he was never meant to be apart of.
Resetting an event does not mean turning back time (aka, going back in time to purposefully do something-- for Sai, however, it is more like turning back time because he's fully aware of the goals he's set for himself or others), The events will repeat when they happened, and the current time will be adjusted accordingly. There will be no going back in time, seeing yourself, and dying of shock which means yuo were never born. However, other continuems may break, people can disappear (sons, daughters, etc), structures can collapse- it can cause a lot of destruction, and he will only use it in certain cases.
Magical Knowledge: Sai was taught the art of fire weaving while he was very young. However, he never followed up with it, instead pursuing his natural power, leaving him to only know basic things.
(( Personality ))
Sai chooses very carefully whom he wishes to open up to and those he wishes to not. Towards his friends, Sai is a very warm, loving individual if not a bit touchy-feely. He loves to sit in people's laps, nuzzle up to them, lie across them if they're reclining, and all in all be involved in some sort of physical contact.
It makes him feel safer, it makes him feel real, but he will only do that with a select few, and he generally tries to refrain from crossing personal boundaries with his friends who have a problem with his touchy-feelyness (that generally does not extend into romantic feelings.) Speaking of romance, Sai has never been involved in a true relationship, though somewhere deep inside he wishes to be.
It is an odd dream of his, one that he can never see coming to fruitation, but one that does not have a zero probability of coming true.
He has some interesting quirks, aside from all of this, which include walking on his tip-toes when not in sandals and chewing on his nails when nervous.
Towards enermies, Sai is a completely different person. He is cruel, cold, and harsh. He believes in showing no mercy and obliterating those who stand in the fire kingdom's way. However, he does not believe in recklessly diving into anything, no matter how tempting it is. He'd rather weigh the options before making a decision. It's quite logical, for an impulsive fire fey, he knows.
He never warms up to strangers without some big effort put into the other's part. Vaet and Lang were the exceptions, able to win him over through their genuine interest and odd quirks of their own.
(( History )) Born to two methusala fire fey, Sairuiniti was considered a blessing from the moment he came into the world. His coloring, his wings, and his strange pointed ears only reinforced his parents' beliefs that he was their miracle child, bestowed upon their family for keeping their lineage pure and clean.
From a young age he was enrolled to learn fire weaving in hopes of becoming adept at it. However, despite his special markings, the poor child had no concept over the weaving spells. It was only from the help of the prodigy Vaet that he ever managed to pass his lessons. Because the boy helped him, Sai more or less followed him and Lang around like a lost kitten.
He was never "in" on their partnership, but the boys were nice to him, included him in some of the schemes, and protected him (sheltered him, even), fromt he cruelty of others. But neither could shield him from the dual devastation of losing both his beloved teacher and his parents when the fire ruler began to get involved in the Fissure of Woe.
Having no home to return to, no where else to run, Sai heavily depended on their support, even though, during that time, it seemed they were all dependant on each other. When Lang and Vaet decided to overthrow the fire ruler, Sai wished to help, though he was terrified of using his power (which had been discovered some time before this, the exact time was unknown), afraid he would trap them and they would be lost forever.
Miraculously, it worked, and as they took their positions of power, they invited Sai to join them in the inner court, his power proving to be of use to them, and he was, afterall, their old friend. He wished to help rebuild what was left of the fire land, not to mention his only home was with them, so he agreed.
And that is where he remains, currently peaceful and content, though he can't help but feel that not all of the tensions have been resolved.
