(( General Information ))
Character Name: Giselle (Innis Florian: she no longer cares or remembers the rest of her name)
Age: 275
Identified Court: Earth Fey
Fey Blood: Giselle was born of mother Earth though her father was of Fire. Her mother, unsatisfied with her intimate relationship with her husband, seduced and dallied with someone of a darker ilk. Bad boys and good girls.
Appearance:
Hair: Her hair gives away her second nature heritage. Thick and luscious the color is of a blood ruby that gleams and shines like it has been freshly painted with blood. In the sunlight it seems to set ablaze creating quite the striking contrast to the rest of her personage. Though it is true to who and what she is by being incredibly long and wild.
Eyes: Almost white they are such a pale blue, with a deep blue ring around to distinguish the slight color from the white of her eyes. The lids droop lazily and she often appears to be bored with what anyone has to say. One of the things she enjoys most is to color the lids in wild and crazy shadows to bring them out and just because she enjoys bright colors.
Height/Weight: Giselle is somewhat on the short side, standing at barely an inch over five feet tall. This has never bothered her though and she believes she has grown to this size so that she may further embrace her animal brethren by being so close to their size. The Earth and Fire fey is limber. Her body is thin yet sinewy with muscle from years of running with the animals and living on fruits and vegetables interspersed here and there with all manner of herbs. She has never once weighed herself so there is no record of it.
Build: As stated above Giselle is thin but not scrawny. She has a nice amount of muscle and is incredibly healthy. She constantly exercises with running through the forest alone and with animal companions, even in animal form at times. As for looking feminine she does a fine job of that, which actually irritates her. Her breasts are a bit on the heavy side and her hips wide for her smaller stature. The only way she consoles herself about her fleshy protrusions (something she refers to them as), since they often get in her way, is by realizing that she has the form the Mother Goddess would have had, Gaia herself.
Fashion: The only types of clothing that Giselle wears are natural and usually handmade. Most of the time she wears next to nothing just like her animal companions. A few scraps here and there of tanned leather are what usually cling to her form.
Wings: Her wings did not fully develop until later on in her life, their growth stunted by the sheer carelessness with which she was tossed away. Once they did form though they were magnificent. Intricate and the color of emeralds and rubies, they cling to her back like vines and spread out with the gradient of fall leaves, the texture in fact mimics leaves as well.
Tattoos: The idea to place tattoos all over her body had hit her one night while she was young. Being alone and sitting before a small fire her mind envisioned vines crawling all over her skin. Now, because she had not always lived solely in the forest and had ventured out once in awhile to interact with her own kind, she had learned how to do several things and of other art types that people could perform. Contacting a man once she agreed to do things for him in turn for her special tattoos. Each night she visited him and he placed needle to flesh she would enchant the ink. It took a very long time but once it was done they were alive. The vines covered her thighs on down, across her hips and over her butt. They wound round her arms and crossed over each breast and of course her back. They never seemed to have a beginning or end, in fact they were alive. The tattoos are constantly moving, like a living breathing sentient being.
Inner Court: Warrior of the Earth Court. I am the Ruler of Ice already.
Level: Level 2
Powers: Giselle was blessed with a few abilities that she herself considers remarkable because of their very nature. They are the only reason she never cared to seek out her parents, and that she does not resent them.
She possesses the ability to manipulate all plants and animals, whether they are a part of the Earth lands or not. Just by pushing a small force of will toward them she can have them do anything she wishes, whether it be to serve her, kill their own children it would not matter. Giselle can force animals to go against their natures and have plants and trees uproot themselves to chase after people or just if she wanted them to move. The problem with it is that she can only affect plants and animals; it does not work upon other fey not even slightly. Besides that the commands she forces upon the creatures and plants must be simple in nature as the lower the intelligence of the subject the less they will be able to understand and could just stand there doing nothing.
Another ability that she has no idea what use it would be to her, is to age things. Forward or backward. With touch and force of will Giselle can age living things. This power affects anything living, even the fey themselves. It is not something she uses very often and seems to have very little control over it, it having caused her some pain in the past because of harming those she cared for. There are limitations to how far she can age a creature though, yet this has not been learned as she refuses to test it out to learn.
Magical Knowledge: Giselle learned how to do magic because of the creatures around her. Speaking their languages and learning their customs she was able to learn a type of magic that only the animals are aware of. She used this knowledge to force an Earth fey to teach her practical magic. Her reasoning was that she could be of more use, stop anyone trying to harm the forest, be a good line of defense, if only she knew more, could do more.
(( Personality ))
Giselle is not known for her hospitality and kindness toward other fey. In fact there have been many times that she has been outright hostile, if not physically. She dislikes it when anyone or anything is in her territory without being invited first. Her having grown up as she did she is more about the animals and plants then her own kind, as she does not really see the fey as her kind then or now. There have been times she has befriended a fey or two, shown compassion, caring and once even love. Though the majority have left her in the end as they could not handle the life she has been living for so long.
She dislikes the war and finds it a useless waste of time and energy. Yet she fought in it lest she be overrun, and she would do it again and again. She fought long and hard because of her friendship with one of the higher ups in the inner court and her own position of Warrior. Fought it because she needed to for balance, and to protect her friends and family in the forest. The Earth fey firmly believes there should be a balance of Light and Dark regardless of what happens, neither side needs to have the upper hand.
The Earth Warrior does not do well in social situations, even when she tries. Having been raised by the animals in the woods for many years she does not see some things as rude like the other fey do and has a tendency to insult others on accident. Most of the time it gets a good laugh out of her though, as she sees nothing wrong with what she does.
Oddly enough she is still very vain in her appearance, though others would not see it as such. She takes good care of her hair and skin all the time and becomes distressed when she snags her hair on branches or the like. To others she probably comes off as uncouth, lacking manners and having a messy appearance. Their harsh judgments of her are one of the reasons she has refused time and time again to live in a palace, to associate more with her own ‘people’. Being judged before they even know her makes her rather bitter, even if she would defend them all with her dying breath.
(( History ))
Giselle is the product of infidelity. Her mother had tired of her fathers’ plain and boring sex and wanted something more adventurous, exciting. What could be better then someone of the Fire court? Easily she seduced one of the fiery denizens and lay with him. It turned out to be so exciting that it happened again and again, until she found herself with child. Many years she had been with her husband and had never gotten with babe. Now she was pregnant and she knew whose it was.
Feigning sickness she ended it with her racy lover and vowed to never contact him again. Though he found out through others of her pregnancy he wanted nothing to do with a half-breed brat that could get both of them in trouble. She swore to her husband it was his and maybe now was just the right time. He believed her up until the baby was born.
Atop the newborn girls head was a crown of crazy and wild hair the shade of blood droplets. That was not a native hair color from their court and he called her out. She admitted to her infidelity and then stole away with the child that night. ‘You will only cause me grief and trouble. I never wanted you anyway and neither does anyone else.’ Then she placed the newborn babe in a pile of leaves and turned away to forget and never care about the child again.
There was an expecting from her, that the child would die. However this was not so. Maybe to punish her and constantly remind her of her transgressions, the child lived. Not only did she live but she thrived and grew to be a beautiful young fey that was nothing like the fey at all. Wild, uninhibited and living her life in complete abandon, Giselle could not be happier.
Though raised by animals there is not a type that stands out more then any other in her behavior. She in fact embodies all of them at once and seems to have their voice as well. The animals listen to her and do as she tells them as so the plants themselves.
She became known once more to the Earth kingdom because she had killed a roving band of fey who had dared to trespass on the lands she considered her own. To deal with the problem, and hopefully swiftly, they had sent out their own Warrior of Earth. The battle was fierce yet over too quickly. Giselle had won, though several of her companions lay dead. Not caring for the fey around her whom had perished she mourned for her friends, keening and burying them that night, though it took her most of it.
The next day another Earth fey, of considerable rank, came to see where the Warrior had gotten to. She found the slaughter and then the one responsible for it. Giselle was cradling a broken sapling and doing her best to revive it but she was having trouble concentrating. She had sensed the others entrance but took no time to spare a glance. The other helped her revive the fallen sapling and the wild fey took that as a sign of friendship.
Through this bond of friendship Giselle learned much about the inner court of the Earth fey and their practices, she also went through a testing of sorts to become the very Warrior she had slain. There were reservations on her part, why should she care about them if they cared not for her? Yet, the other fey who saw her often and whom she called friend helped her decide. Not all of them could be so terrible if one was not at all right?
Giselle officially became the Warrior of Earth shortly before the war. So she took part in it even if there was nothing about it that made her happy. There was death everywhere and the forests suffered more then they should have. She fought with everything she had though, to keep the people but most importantly the forests safe. She used the forest itself, the animals and the strange tattoos all over her body as weapons. This was when the Ruler of that time knew that her Warrior was appropriately chosen, as Giselle fought long and hard and almost tirelessly until the war was abruptly ended.
