(( General Information ))
Character Name: Kesshou N'harun Age: She would say herself no older than 350 to most, while in truth her age is closer to 600. Identified Court: Dark (Previously Solitary) Fey Blood: Pure-blooded Dark Appearance: Kesshou stands at a modest 5' 6" with a rather lithe frame that she has a habit of showing a great deal of. Her hair (a medium to light blonde) is kept short (almost choppy) in the back, with bangs never reaching quite to her jawline that are usually swept to one side or the other (or both, on rare occasion). Her eyes are the color of rubies, the right framed by a design of matching color that trails down her cheek. On occasion (when feeling particularly mischievous) she will wear an ashy star over the left eye, but it is often bare. Her lips are, however, always painted in a dark, near-black color, though the hue tends to vary from time to time, and her nails always match it. It's an extremely rare occasion she is seen without any makeup.
Her manner of dress is typically almost as scant as she can get away with (and typically dark, often combinations of black and red), considering that it is much easier to move about in a short skirt, fitted top and sandals than an elaborate dress and high heels.
Her wings are an unusual mixture of bone and dark, translucent feathers, the longest of which reach approximately half a foot off of the ground.
Inner Court: None (though she has a distinct lust for power, she doesn't care enough about politics and formalities). Level: Level 2 Powers: Kesshou, simply put, has the gift of a succubus. Seduction can be quite a manipulative ability, when one knows how to use it, and over the centuries, she has come to be quite good at it.
Simple eye contact or physical touch is all it takes to put it in motion, drawing her victim into a vulnerable state that can vary from a plaintive (but distracting) butterfly sensation all the way into pure, unadulterated, animal lust (the type perhaps that causes some men to turn on their very friends and brothers) or an almost entirely entranced fixation. In this state one is rather vulnerable to suggestion, as well as being rather defenseless, captivated. Unfortunately, the effect has a somewhat limited duration once contact is broken before it fades and her victim is back to his or herself. Despite this, it is often plenty of time to get done what needs to be done (and she is constantly training herself to improve that duration, finding that continued vocal suggestion extends it by almost half). The extreme downside, however, is that quite obviously she can only keep eye contact with one person at a time, and has only two hands.
An unusual side-effect of her power, though only apparent a bit less than half of the time she uses it, is a lingering sense of acute jealousy and suspicion towards one's fellows. She isn't quite sure why this only happens some of the time, though the effect seems to wear off after a few days. She has yet to figure out how to control this aspect.
Magical Knowledge: From a young age, Kesshou took interest in a broad spectrum of magic, spending much of the time she didn't spend honing her power to hone her gift with the various elemental magics. She's dabbled in almost every type, and most came relatively easily with enough practice (which she had plenty of time for during her solitary years).
She considers herself to be rather well-versed, but never turns down the opportunity to learn more.
(( Personality ))
Kesshou is and always has been a rather strong-willed Fey, a trait she seems to have inherited from her father, though with a nasty little streak of mischief inherited from her mother. During the years she spent wandering, she developed a bit of a detached sense of compassion for others, uncaring of their hardships unless it in some way benefited her (or amused her).
Returning to the court of Dark later in life (after the Fissure of Woe) she kept this general mindset (after a time of recovery), only affiliating with those she deemed personally useful or entertaining. She has a nasty little habit of eavesdropping and poking her nose where it doesn't belong, as well as an uncanny ability to stir up the wrong things.
Outwardly, she seems a bit detached from the flow of time, following her own pace and nobody else's (a die hard habit from her years alone). She is sharp and coy, graceful and usually quick to rise to a challenge, but shares a certain twisted sort of fondness for the few she holds close to her (it might be called caring, but you'd be hard pressed to label it as such).
All in all, she enjoys the suffering of others, both inciting it and observing it, as well as partaking in pleasures of the flesh (however unsatisfying it is for the other person due to her less than vanilla ideas of fun).
In battle she is certainly manipulative, preferring to toy with her prey rather than end it quickly.
(( History )) Born into the court of Dark, Kesshou didn't take long to find it stifling, a young sense of adventure and rebellion (as she had once entertained in her mind a fancy of overthrowing the queen that she never acted upon for plenty of reasons) taking her away into a life of wandering the world. She stayed relatively close to her home at first, but when her father passed, she disassociated herself completely.
During this time she visited as many places as she could, learning various ways of combat as well as magics, and honing her own natural abilities. For years she continued down this path, a part of many lives yet a lasting memory in none as her thirst for power and knowledge led her to migrate quite often.
For a brief time during the Fissure of Woe incident she was drawn into the fight, but after losing the only two she remotely considered to be something close to friends, she removed herself from the battle to simply watch from afar, growing angry and bitter about the loss for a time, only to bury it shortly after it all ended in favor of detaching herself from the event completely (a necessary step to save her sanity).
It wasn't long then until she returned to the court, older, wiser, and stronger, somewhat hollowed and a bit cynical. It took some time for her to regain her streak of playful, almost disturbing mischief, but when it returned, it returned in spades, alongside an itch to return to battle.
Still, she didn't have the patience or die-hard loyalty to rise to a position of power in an inner court, though she still jumps at the opportunity to fight, offering her services to the current queen with no less than a warped sort of loyalty. It is questionable whether she will stay for long, and old fancies die hard.
